In order to be able to finance your photovoltaic installation, it is necessary to fulfil certain requirements and present certain documents so that the financial entity can evaluate your case and approve the financing. If you are thinking of financing your photovoltaic system, we will inform you about all the specific details of the process for each of the financing options we work with. However, in order to qualify for financing, you generally need to: 1. Identity verification To verify identity, a photograph of a valid identity document is required. In the case of an expired ID card, a valid driving licence or passport can be presented. 2. Verify bank account  To verify the bank account, a photocopy of the bank book or a direct debit receipt is required. 3. Verify recurring income  To verify the recurrent income of a salaried worker, the last pay slips are usually requested. In the case of a self-employed person, the last income tax return (stamped).

There is currently no specific tax for photovoltaic systems. However, there are two taxes that have to be paid. On the one hand, there is VAT, which is a tax associated with the purchase of a product or service. At present, 21% VAT must be paid when the installation is carried out, but in some specific cases, such as in construction or renovation work on houses and in renovation work, 10% VAT may be applied. On the other hand, in some autonomous communities, the ICIO (Impuesto de Construcciones, Instalaciones y Obras) must be paid in order to process the building permit. Each municipality determines the percentage of the cost of the work, which is usually between 1% and 5%. Nowadays, many Spanish municipalities are offering a rebate of up to 95% on this tax.
